Minar e Khalsa

Summary of Sunehary Gur Itihaasik Project

“MINAR-E-KHALSA” (Sarab Sanjha), Gur Itihaas: 1469-1716

With the blessings of Guru of All times, Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji, Gulab Singh attempted to start a model (Minar-e-Khalsa) on 1-09-2004, the fourth-centenary first Prakash of Guru Granth Sahib ji at Golden Temple by Guru Arjun Dev Ji.

He could finally achieve the set target, by the grace of Guru, of completing it on 30-10-2008, the tri-centenary Gurta Gaddi Divas of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The model is 10 ft. in height which stands on the 7.5 ft. square base which has been erected with the help of rubber wood.

Minar-e-Khalsa is surrounded by nearly 400 dimensional engraved sketches of Gurus and Sikhs, made of brass metal which shines like gold. History of Gurus is engraved on steel Plates. Till first four Guru's period, preaching of Sikhism flowed peacefully, which is shown at the base of the model. After 'first Parkash' of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji at Harimandir Sahib, the political leaders put forth a sea wall of troubled waves by capturing Guru Arjun Dev Ji and inflicting on him unthinkable tortures.

Beginning with the martyrdom of Guru Arjun Dev ji upto Guru Godind Singh ji's unparallel sacrifice, engraving has been done on the six storeyed Minar-e-Khalsa, showing it standing aloft among the troubled sea waves. The four battles won by Sri Guru Har Gobind ji and fourteen battles won by Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji has been depicted beautifully. Martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji (Hind-di-chaddar), Baptisation of Khalsa, the sacrifice of all four sons (sahibjadas) of Guru Gobind Singh ji, sacrifice of unlimited Sikhs and Sikh ladies who have fought for human rights, have been shown.

The great warrior of Sikh History Baba Banda Singh Bahadur ji who fought and won many battles in Punjab, has been engraved. After winning Sarhand battle Sikh Raj was established, has been shown on the Model. And like fearless lions, Sikhs have been shown waving flags of triumph of Sikhism in all adverse situations, who had fought battles for the betterment of all and sacrifice and selflessness being their prime moto.
